The city of Raleigh is the capital of North Carolina State of the United States. It’s also the seat of Wake County. Only 2.7 days of an year do not rise above freezing. The driest of all months is April which has 2.91 inches of precipitation. There is comparatively higher precipitation between July and September and it gets evenly distributed throughout the year. The wettest of all months is July which is due to frequent, heavy showers along with thunderstorms. Summer times are very hot and humid with 80.0 °F being the daily average during July. Over 40 days of a year has temperature above 90 °F. There is fewer rainfall during Autumn and Spring, both being quite similar. In all these years, the least temperature the city has seen is −9 °F on 21st January 1985 and the maximum was 105 °F on 8th July 2012.

Population:
Majority of the population here is White which accounts to 57.5%. There are 4.3% Asian Americans of which 1.2% of them are Indians.
Education:
Raleigh houses good number of public and private universities offering quality education. North Carolina State University and Wake Technical Community College are two notable public universities.
